May Update!!

We are really moving now!!! To start off our site we have been given a huge opportunity to photograph, scan, and look through the very extensive collection of Tom W. As you can imagine, this is going to be a huge undertaking. We have started sorting and have even gotten a couple of posts up so far. Along with some other submissions this is going to give us a great kick off. We are working on more avenues of memorabilia, historical information and stories. Additionally we will be working on the overall organization of the site too so that it is easier to find the things that interest you.

Halfmoon Lodge Display at the 50th Anniversary Celebration 8/1996

The Halfmoon Lodge 28 has supported Camp Trimount throughout its history. From annual service to building new buildings, the lodge's support of camp can be seen in every corner of Trimount. Below are some examples of Halfmoon Lodges many patches and other artifacts from over the years. Many more pics to come. Memorials at Camp Trimount

Anyone that has ever visited camp has noticed that a great many buildings are dedicated in memorial of loved ones, past scouts and scouters as well as community leaders. On or about July 12, 1994, then Camp Director Tony Forte called all scouts, scouters and staff at Camp Trimount to a special flag formation. At that time Mr. Forte, announced the passing of Troop 33 Eagle Scout Mark Koteek. This somber moment was marked with the lowering of the colors to half staff in remembrance.Two years later during the 50th Anniversary Celebration at camp a climbing tower was dedicated in Mark Koteek's honor. That tower served camp into the 2000's when the tower was taken down after a new tower was erected at the new COPE course. 

History of Camp Trimount

Purchased in 1946, Camp Trimount has had a very long history. Below is an excerpt from the Camp Trimount 50th Anniversary Journal. We thought this was cool, so we are putting this up now. More will be added to this post later.
